“The majority of Muslims will say that they believe it is Allah’s will that the whole world become Islamic in order to have peace. In order to do that, there are too many radicals out there that are willing to use killings and torture and all kinds of things in order to accomplish that.”
Hamilton County Sheriff Jim Hammond first brought up the issue of radical Muslims during Monday’s Pachyderm club meeting.
That brought a strong response from several organizations.
The American Center for Outreach, the American Civil Liberties Union of Tennessee and the American Muslim Advisory Council put out a statement saying the Sheriff went too far with his comments. ∞∞∞∞∞ www.wdef.com ∞∞∞∞∞
